Welcome

I am a Person Centred Counsellor with many years of experience in helping people to explore their issues within a non-judgemental environment.

Counselling is a very useful and safe place to explore a variety of issues or concerns. Whether it is for personal development or psychological/emotional reasons counselling can be a positive way to explore the issues that challenge our life and happiness.

About Me

I am a Registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (Senior Accredited status). I am also a supervisor working with counsellors (in training and qualified), I also offer group supervision. In all instances I operate within the BACP Ethical Framework. My experience has been gained over many years working in a variety of settings which include, private practice, NHS, EAP, GP surgery and eating disorder charities. I have worked in Further Education on Person Centred training courses.
Whilst my training and work is broad based I do have substantial experience and additional training in working with people who are affected by eating disorders or eating/weight related issues. This includes, not only sufferers but also parents, partners, carers and friends who are often also affected. I have also delivered seminars on eating disorders in a variety of settings.

What I can Offer

I offer all my clients a safe confidential space to talk about their life and anything they may find confusing, painful or uncomfortable to face or deal with. Counselling offers a space to talk with someone who is trained to 'listen' in a non-judgemental, empathic and honest way that often empowers people to explore their thoughts, feelings and situations which then allows them to formulate their own choices and make any necessary changes for their benefit.

I offer both short and long term counselling. Individual and Group supervision.
